This page explains, in plain English, how RustJack handles your information. It's written as good practice, not as legal advice.
RustJack is a rugged outdoors gear and apparel brand, at rustjack.com. This policy covers the rustjack.com website.
This website is operated by Freetek Ltd (trading as RustJack), the data controller for your personal data.
Analytics. Like most websites, RustJack uses Google Analytics (GA4) to count visits and see which pages people read. This is aggregated usage data we use to improve the site, not to identify you personally.
We don't ask for more than we need, and we don't collect special-category (sensitive) personal data.
Essential cookies make the site work; these are always on.
Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) are set ONLY if you accept them — nothing analytics-related loads until you do. When you first visit we ask, with equal "Accept" and "Reject" buttons, and remember your choice; you can change it at any time with "Manage cookies" below.
We don't set affiliate cookies ourselves: when you CLICK an affiliate link, the retailer sets its own cookie on its own site so it can credit the referral.
If you use a share or "Pin" button, that social platform (such as Pinterest) may set its own cookies when you interact with it.
Manage cookiesSome links on RustJack are affiliate links: if you buy through them we may earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you. We recommend things on their merits — the commission never changes the price you pay.
We rely on a few third parties, each with its own privacy policy: Google (Google Analytics); the retailers we link to, through their affiliate programmes; Pinterest and other social platforms, when you choose to interact with them (for example, pinning or sharing a page). We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
RustJack connects to our OWN business accounts on Pinterest and other social platforms through their official APIs, to create and manage our own Pins, boards and posts and to see our own analytics. We access only our own accounts.
We never ask for, collect or store any social platform user's password. Any access tokens for our own accounts are held securely and encrypted. We do not receive, store, share or sell any other person's data from those platforms.
RustJack is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR) you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it. Most of what we hold is anonymous analytics; email us and we'll help.
Analytics data is retained for as long as Google Analytics holds it. The site is served over HTTPS and we use reputable providers.
We'll update this page if our practices change; the date above shows the last revision.
